The Chicopee Electric Light Department is pleased to announce the launch of a Pilot Energy Efficiency Program designed to offer technical assistance, incentives, and low interest financing to help promote the identification and installation of cost effective electric energy efficiency projects in Chicopee. All non-residential, commercial and industrial customers are eligible to apply. Funding is limited and will be awarded on a first come first served basis.
Custom Retrofit Program
CEL's Custom Retrofit Program targets cost effective electric energy efficiency improvements. Technical assistance is available to help identify opportunities and quantify cost effectiveness. Each project is individually reviewed for energy savings and incentives are awarded based on estimated annual electric savings up to a cap of 30% of project costs, or $25,000 per project. Express Lighting Program
For customers who have already identified lighting improvement projects at their facility and who have procured cost estimates from vendors, CEL's Express Lighting Program is designed to streamline the application and review process. Applicants are asked to submit an inventory of existing and proposed fixtures, specifications on all new equipment, and detailed cost estimates. CEL's program administrator will review the application, complete a pre-inspection on large lighting projects and issue a technical review letter denoting project cost effectiveness and incentive eligibility. New Construction Program
