Chicopee Electric Light is holding the Annual Holiday Decorating Contest again this year, which is open to all Chicopee Residents.
Chicopee Electric Light will offer CEL Electric Account Credits in the amounts of $150, $100 and $75 to first, second and third place winners, respectively. Entry forms are now available below!
The deadline for emailing entry forms to Chicopee Electric Light at contest@celd.com is Friday, December 5th.
The tiered account credits are an interesting way to reward participation, but I wonder whether the judging criteria are shared with entrants in advance. Knowing whether creativity, energy efficiency, or neighborhood visibility carries the most weight would help residents plan displays that fit both the spirit of the season and practical electricity use. It might also encourage more first-time entrants who feel unsure how their decorations will be evaluated.
